How many notes do examiners play for interval recognition?

On Elementary Level examinations (Levels 1 - 4) students are required to identify intervals played in melodic form, ascending and descending. Examiners have been instructed to play a series of three notes for each interval: the bottom note, followed by the top note, followed by the bottom note, as shown on page 106 of the Piano Syllabus, 2015 Edition.
