Trouble with Page Turns

Some of my students are having trouble managing page turns, especially in their popular selections. Does the examiner turn pages in these cases? They are worried about it. One page turn isn't much of an issue but the multiple page turns on a piece with a faster tempo are troubling.

When a candidate performs using music during an examination, it is expected that the candidate will have planned and rehearsed comfortable page turns, allowing for the performance to unfold without pauses or interruptions to the musical flow. Please note that examiners are unable to turn pages for candidates during the examination.

When preparing for a performance, keep in mind that in order to facilitate page turns during performances, it is permissible to photocopy a single page, providing that permission has been obtained from the publisher.

The Frederick Harris Music Co. Limited has granted permission to festival, recital, and examination participants to photocopy single pages from their publications to facilitate a page turn. Permissions for works published by others must be obtained directly from those publishers.
