Sophia Szokolay is a Doctoral Music student at the New England Conservatory and a music instructor. By participating in both sides of the music education exchange by teaching and being a student, she has unique perspectives of the online learning environment. Sophia created a video "67 Questions to Ask your Students" to help bridge the gap between learners and their music teachers and form open lines of communication in lessons. In this video, she speaks about the importance of Social Emotional Learning, and how asking students open questions helps to create a welcoming learning environment.
